Whitemountain have installed a new cafe created out of shipping containers at the CS Lewis Square in East Belfast. The project was carried out through the Company’s CPD scheme for their client Urban Villages, Eastside Partnership and included the construction of a new open space adjoining the recently completed CS Lewis Square.

Phase two of Pocket Park included the upgrade of the existing old asphalt surface to new sandstone paving with granite kerbs and whinstone boundary wall along
the Upper Newtownards Road and neighbouring CS Lewis Square.

Landscaping works including shrubbery and grass turf were planted below the ‘George Best Mural’.

A new decorative railing designed by artist Lucy Turner was installed to match the same fencing opposite the site situated in the City Garden Allotment, decorative exposed aggregate concrete laid as a hard standing around the café pods with bespoke street furniture.
