Ulster American Folk Park – New World Extension

Whitemountain Quarries Ltd is currently working on the New World Extension which involves the provision of infrastructure to service a new tourist attraction at the Ulster American Folk Park in Omagh, County Tyrone.

The Client for this project is National Museums Northern Ireland and is supervised on their behalf by Central Procurement Directorate (CPD).

The works include:

•           Bulk earthworks

•           Land drainage

•           Laying of drainage pipes supplied by the Employer

•           Foul drainage and sewage treatment plant installation

•           Ducting for electrical services

•           Water main installation

•           Construction of gravel footpaths

•           Construction of cliff/boulder features

•           Hydro seeding

Other parts of the Park, including the nearby McAllister House remains open to the public as a visitor attraction during the course of the contract.  Whitemountain is liaising with the Client to ensure minimal disruption to the operation of the Folk Park during the works.
