Glenbank Slope Stabilisation

Contract Name: CPD Minor Works, Belfast - Site: Glenbank Business Park, Crumlin Road, Belfast

In order to stabilise an existing embankment to allow for future development of Glenbank Business Park, Whitemountain, in partnership with CAB, completed 5,000 cubic metres of Lime ground stabilisation. The requirement for a sustainable solution to the poor ground conditions encountered on this site was the key driver in the use of Lime soil stabilisation. 

The work involved excavating existing material to a depth of 4.0m and the compaction of the reinstated land using established lime stabilisation methods.

The work was completed within a 4 week period in September 2011.
