Whitemountain's Asphalt Plant at Crieve Hill Quarry near Fivemiletown is about to break through the half million tonne mark.
The Phoenix Star Mix 240 plant was commissioned in March 2009 to service the surfacing requirements of the DBFO2 contract from Dungannon to Ballygawley.
Asphalt has also been produced for DRD Roads Service contracts and a number of Resurfacing Schemes in Co. Donegal.
Asphalt Concrete, Hot Rolled Asphalt and Stone Mastic Asphalt are all produced at the plant in compliance with CE Marking requirements of the Construction Products Directive under Certificate GB10/81471.
The plant includes eight cold feed bins, three tonne mixer, RAP addition facility, four bitumen tanks, fibre system and 300 tonnes of hot storage capacity.
