Whitemountain Quarries has commissioned a new Asphalt Plant in Fivemiletown, Co. Tyrone on land adjacent to Acheson & Glover’s Crieve Hill Quarry.
The new Plant will service the surfacing requirements of the DBFO2 contract from Dungannon to Ballygawley. This will involve the production of almost 500,000 tonnes of Asphalt as well providing the Company with an opportunity to supply other contracts in Tyrone and Fermanagh.
Together with the new plant a weighbridge, office, materials testing laboratory, storage sheds and welfare unit have all been set up on site.
The Asphalt plant is a Phoenix Star Mix 240 and includes eight cold feed bins, three tonne mixer, RAP addition facility, four bitumen tanks, fibre system and 300 tonnes of hot storage capacity.
